Ereader news...

Some interesting facts gleaned from the link I'll give at the lower part of this page:

Ereader sales have increased 105% over last year.

NOOK Color has ousted the Kindle as the top-selling ereader; this being the first that Amazon has lost that distinction.

Rumor is that Amazon will release its own version of a tablet device in a few months.

If Amazon comes out with a tablet and it's priced right I will have to try to determine if our 10 yr old son would be better off with the Amazon product or with the NOOK Color that tops his Christmas wish list...

  1. Any news on the sales of the other Nook. I just bought a Nook e-ink version. I like it! I like the touch highlight feature the best of all. There really is no back button though. Plus, I still don't like the Barnes and Noble website as well as the Amazon one.

  2. Hmmm...no back button to do what, Heidi?

No, I haven't seen any stats on how the newest basic NOOK is doing with regard to sales.

So, do you also own a Kindle?

  3. Yes, I own a Kindle2. Kindle has a back button that takes you back to the last place you were. The touch feature on the Nook is just awesome. I can't tell you how much time it saves.

  4. What does the touch feature do?

NOOK formerly had a furthest read feature but it was taken away.
